E&E Foods Targets New Buyers in SE Asia Through WUSATA Trade Activity Sustainably

"WUSATA did a terrific job of screening prospective clients"

E&E Foods, Inc. is a full-service seafood supplier based in Renton, Washington. To reach new buyers in Southeast Asia, they participated in the 2021 Virtual Buyer Meetings activity coordinated by the Global Connect program of the Western United States Agricultural Trade Association (WUSATA). Global Connect is funded through the USDA’s Market Access Program (MAP). Participating in the event has led to four ongoing conversations with new prospective customers in Asia and Southeast Asia. As of early the end of the year, sales from the activity had already reached $140K.

Mark Fouty, a Vice President of Sales with E&E Foods, credits WUSATA for a well-organized event. “Our biggest need is to pinpoint targeted potential clients, and WUSATA did a terrific job of screening prospective clients. Their staff is so knowledgeable and willing to assist, and the overseas liaisons who helped set up things locally have been great. We were able to have spirited conversations, particularly with Vietnamese companies, who had not heard of our company before.”

E&E Foods, Inc. produces, sources, and trades a full range of seafood products from Alaska and the North Pacific for retail buyers, wholesale and food service distribution. They are also a Marine Stewardship Council certified supplier. These certifications ensure that their salmon, black cod, Pacific cod, and halibut product can be traced back to a sustainable fishery.
