Description: The Washington and Oregon Departments of Agriculture, in cooperation with WUSATA, will be coordinating participation at Expo ANTAD 2010 in Guadalajara, Mexico - March 10 - 12, 2010. This is the largest retail and supermarket trade show in Latin America with over 30,000 top buyers and importers for supermarkets, hotels, restaurants and retail outlets. WUSATA will work closely with the FAS Trade Show Office's designated contractor and WUSATA's contractor, to develop a Western U.S. display for companies in the region. The 2009 Expo featured 1,800 exhibitors, 17 country pavilions, and had a 15% increase in country participation vs. 2008.
The retail, hotel and restaurant, and food processing sectors all present good opportunities for US agricultural exports. The Mexico market is expanding rapidly and demanding high quality products, making Expo ANTAD one of the best ways to reach this market. Suitable products include, but are not limited to: consumer ready. frozen products, fruits & vegetables, snack foods, seafood & shellfish, and wine & beverages.
